Deshaun Watson receives a major hit from the NFL

Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, was spared discipline after  ,

shoving a referee during Monday Night Football's Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, the NFL still fined Watson $35,513 for two additional incidents during the game.Watson received a punishment from the NFL for making a "violent gesture" in response to a score.

Watson and Browns tight end David Njoku exchanged $13,659 worth of gunshots at one another.

In addition, Watson was penalized for the two unnecessary roughness penalties he received in the defeat for the two facemask infractions he drew.

Following the defeat, Watson addressed those penalties:The Browns website quotes him as saying,

"Both [penalties] were my fault, but as far as the facemask and other things go, I'm stiff-arming just like everyone else.

The only way I can truly let go is to swing across once they have grabbed my arm while I'm sprinting and they continue to push.
