Dwayne Johnson and John Cena set friendship goals during WWE's 'Welcome Home' event.

In a now-viral WWE video, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and John Cena are best pals. The two wrestling champions startled the fans by going head-to-head during WWE SmackDown!

on Friday at Ball Arena in Denver, as shown in a clip released to the WWE's official account on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The beginning of the behind-the-scenes video features Johnson, 51, and Pat McAfee, an ESPN sports pundit.

After shaking hands, McAfee indicates to Johnson behind the camera and says, "Hey, there's a guy, he can't see you," referencing to Cena's famous wrestling catchphrase, "You can't see me."

As the camera pans over, Cena can be seen standing silently behind Johnson, facing steadily ahead while holding his hands behind his back.

While the audience erupts, Johnson approaches his former rival. The two men exchange expressionless, straight faces, yet they can't keep their expressionless position without grinning at each other.

"I see you trying to smile!" Johnson shouted, jabbing at Cena, who nodded in accord. The Peacemaker actor then extended his hand for Johnson to shake, saying, "Welcome home."

The audience applauded enthusiastically as the two hugged. Fans flooded social media with praise, many of whom were relieved to learn that the former foes had thawed.

"This was cool to see, Strikes did us fans wonders low-key," one wrestling fan said,

referring to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes in Hollywood that began this summer.
