Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson punches wrestler with People's Elbow in WWE return since 2019.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson returned to the WWE ring on Friday night for the first time since 2019 and put on a display for the crowd.

Johnson was on "The Pat McAfee Show" earlier in the day in Boulder, Colorado.

The rumor mill was spinning with WWE's "SmackDown!" in neighboring Denver.

McAfee made an appearance in the ring with Austin Theory, where the former punter stated it's "the people's show."

The People's Champ was one of The Rock's nicknames, and The People's Elbow was one of his signature moves.

A few seconds later, The Rock's "If You Smell" blared over the speakers, eliciting one of the greatest roars in recent WWE history.

Johnson lingered on stage for more than a minute, taking in the loud audience and high-fiving some supporters as he made his way to the ring.

When his music stopped, the crowd erupted in "Rocky" chants.

But that didn't stop Theory from taking swings at The Rock, both verbally and physically.
