NFL world reacts to Tom Brady return news

Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback, has formally declared his retirement from the NFL after the 2022 season,

with no indication that he would ever return to the field. But it's obvious that if he decided he wanted to, he could.

The major stumbling block that could prevent Tom Brady from returning to the league as a player is that

He recently agreed to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders franchise, and league personnel are normally not allowed to concurrently

be team owners. However, as league insider Tom Pelissero and NFL Media's Ian Rapoport point out, Brady's ownership stake in the Raiders has not yet been confirmed.

"The door will officially remain open for Brady to play for any team — at least until October, and quite possibly longer," the two said on Sunday.

"Sources believe Brady's purchase of a minority ownership in the Raiders has not been finalized. According to insiders

A  vote may take place as soon as next month's Fall League Meeting, although there is still plenty to work out in terms of financing and details about a potential purchase."

Obviously, Brady has made no hint that he intends to return, but the story created quite a stir on social media.

It's evident that this will be a topic of discussion until Brady's contract with the Raiders is finalized.
