Part 2 of Yellowstone Season 5: Release Date, Cast, and More

Yellowstone has been a network staple since its 2018 Paramount Network debut. Contemporary Western drama introduced a new idea to the genre.

It focused on ranchers fighting urban growth rather than cowboys and ranchers.

Yellowstone was successful throughout its run, but behind-the-scenes turmoil between Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan led to its cancellation.

Sheridan, the cast, and the crew must finish Season 5 Part 2 before going on to the spin-off shows, so the universe won't end.

Yellowstone Season 5 Part 1 premiered November 10, 2022, and the midseason finale was January 1, 2023.

The actor's intransigence enraged Sheridan and others. The filming date was delayed by this drama.

Part 2 couldn't begin production owing to the continuing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, whether Costner and Sheridan reached a deal or not.

Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton, recently said they would be filming Part 2 if not for the strikes, suggesting Costner and Sheridan may have reached a deal:
