Selena Gomez is proudly highlighting her Mexican heritage both on and off the screen.

Selene Gomez rules the world. The 31-year-old is thriving after winning an MTV Video Music Award, introducing a new song,

finishing a film, and releasing the latest season of Only Murders in the Building.

Selena appears to be becoming more confident personally and professionally with each passing year.

As recently as a few months ago, the Disney star finished filming Emilia Perez in Spanish in Paris.

"It's been such a wonderful challenge," third-generation American-Mexican Selena told TikTok Live in June. I'm excited for you to see it."

Selena has also talked about her ethnicity offscreen, using her platforms, notably her Rare Beauty brand, to promote harmony in a separated culture.

"Hispanic Heritage Month is ending, but I'm proud of my heritage every month," she posted on Instagram in October 2022.

"It saddens me to see so many individuals use background to separate rather than celebrate our unique cultures and experiences.

I'm alive because my family sacrificed for a better future."

Selena and Rare Beauty launched a campaign to highlight her community, who "should feel proud of their heritage every day of the year."
