The Flyers sign a $4,200,000 million contract with a discount RFA center who leads the team in scoring this calendar year.

The Philadelphia Flyers made a big effort to sign emerging sensation Morgan Frost.

The 24-year-old center and the Flyers signed a two-year, $4.2 million contract with an average annual value of $2.1 million, reports say.

This arrangement keeps Frost an RFA after the contract ends, giving the Flyers control over his future.

Frost earned this contract extension after a stellar 2023 season.

He exceeded expectations last season on a one-year "prove-it" agreement.

Frost became a key player for the Flyers in 2023, with 32 points (12 goals, 20 assists) in 45 games.

Frost outperformed some league players with his second-half surge.

He surpassed Alex DeBrincat, who had 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists) in 46 games since January 1st, 19 of which came at even strength.

In July, DeBrincat signed a key four-year, $31.5 million Detroit Red Wings contract.Frost's season stats are also remarkable.

He finished the year with 19 goals and 27 assists in 81 games, solidifying his role in the Flyers' offense.
